Online brand protection

We monitor the Turkish marketplaces and social networks, have counterfeit listings removed and identify the sellers behind accounts that come back.

The problem

Counterfeit sellers in Türkiye use the same channels as your authorised ones, with storefronts on Trendyol, Hepsiburada and n11, Instagram and TikTok accounts that take orders over WhatsApp, and Telegram groups for wholesale. Under Article 9 of the E-Commerce Law No. 6563 a marketplace must remove a listing on a documented complaint, so you need a registration that covers Türkiye and evidence for each listing.

What we do

  1. 01

    Monitoring

Monitor Trendyol, Hepsiburada, n11, Amazon.com.tr, Çiçeksepeti, Dolap and Sahibinden, plus Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Marketplace and Telegram.

  2. 02

    Takedowns

Send takedown notices through the platforms' brand programmes and ask for account closure when the same seller lists again.

  3. 03

    Seller tracing

Link accounts to people and premises for offline action, within the limits of the Penal Code and KVKK.

  4. 04

    Domains and websites

Bring .tr domain disputes before a TRABİS dispute-resolution provider and obtain court orders blocking copycat sites.

How it works

  1. Week 1

    Detection

We run automated sweeps of the marketplaces and social channels and check each hit by hand against your catalogue and authorised-seller list. Every listing is logged with its URL, the seller name, the price and screenshots.

  2. Days 1–3

    Verification

We sort the findings by price, photographs and seller history, and make a test purchase where the case will go further than a notice. You see the confirmed cases with our reasoning and tell us which ones to act on.

  3. Days 3–10

    Notices

We send takedown requests through the platforms' brand programmes, by notary or registered e-mail (KEP) where the E-Commerce Law requires it. Under Article 9 the marketplace must remove the listing on a documented complaint and notify the seller, who can object with evidence and have the listing restored. Platforms usually act within a few working days, and a contested listing passes to the lawyers.

  4. Weeks 2–4

    Repeat sellers and tracing

When a seller lists again we trace the account, using the identity details marketplaces must verify and the invoice, dispatch record and delivery address a test purchase produces. Within the limits of KVKK, that links the account to a person and an address for offline action. Copycat .tr domains go to a TRABİS dispute-resolution provider, other sites are blocked by court order, and cases that need a visit pass to market enforcement or investigations.

  5. Month end

    Report

We send one monthly report covering every listing found, every notice sent, every platform response and every open case, with the next step for each. You can forward it internally as it is.

What we need from you

  • Your authorised-seller list
  • A product catalogue
  • Access to your brand-registry accounts on the platforms

Questions

  • How fast do platforms respond?

Usually within a few working days, once your marks are verified in the platform's brand programme. Trendyol and the other Turkish marketplaces expect a registration that covers Türkiye, so an EU mark on its own is often refused. Social networks are less predictable, so repeat accounts there are traced as well as reported.

  • Which social networks are covered?

Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Marketplace and Telegram as standard, plus YouTube and X where your products appear there. Orders are usually taken over WhatsApp behind an Instagram or TikTok account, so we treat the public account as the point of entry and the test purchase as the evidence.

  • What happens when a seller returns?

A second account from the same seller gets a test purchase, a request to the platform under its repeat-infringer rules and a trace of the person and the dispatch address. Where the trail leads to stock or premises, the lawyers file a criminal complaint under Article 30 of Law No. 6769. For a .tr domain registered or renewed after 14 September 2022, a dispute-resolution provider can order transfer or cancellation in about a month. Older .tr domains and other sites go to court.

  • Do you work outside Istanbul?

Yes. We work in all 81 provinces of Türkiye; most actions outside Istanbul are at the ports, the border gates and the resort markets.

  • Do we need a Turkish trademark registration first?

Generally yes. Customs applications and criminal complaints rest on a registration that covers Türkiye, either a national filing with TÜRKPATENT or an international registration under the Madrid system.

  • How do you report?

Once a month. The report lists the actions taken, the seizures, the costs and the next steps, and you can forward it internally as it is.
