This policy is short. There are no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies on this website. Nothing is stored on your device to track you between visits or across other sites.
The policy covers cookies and similar technologies, including entries in your browser’s local storage. The Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guidelines on Cookie Practices (Çerez Uygulamaları Hakkında Rehber, June 2022, updated July 2025) treat these in the same way where personal data is involved. Under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and Article 51 of the Electronic Communications Law No. 5809, items that are strictly necessary for the service you asked for can be set without consent. Everything else needs your explicit consent, given before anything is set and as easy to refuse as to accept. The personal data collected this way is explained in our privacy notices.
What we use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type and legal basis | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
casework-consent (local storage, not a cookie) |
This website | Remembers whether you allowed or refused external content, so we do not ask on every page. Holds only your choice; no identifier. | Strictly necessary. Processing is needed to provide the service you asked for and to record your choice: KVKK Article 5(2)(c) and (ç) [confirm] | Until you clear it or change your choice |
Google Maps cookies (for example NID, CONSENT, AEC, SOCS, set on google.com) |
Set only if you load the map on the contact page. Google uses them for its own purposes, including security and, depending on your Google settings, personalisation. | Not necessary. Your explicit consent: KVKK Article 5(1). The map is not loaded until you agree. | Set by Google, typically from 6 months to 2 years [confirm against Google’s current list] | |
Cloudflare Turnstile (cf_clearance and challenge cookies) |
Cloudflare | Only if Turnstile spam protection is switched on for our forms [confirm]. Checks that a form is submitted by a person, not a script. With the default settings Turnstile issues a one-time token and sets no lasting cookie. A cf_clearance cookie is set only if “pre-clearance” is enabled, which we do not use [confirm]. |
Strictly necessary for the security of the form: KVKK Article 5(2)(f), legitimate interest | Token: a few minutes. cf_clearance, if ever enabled: as configured, usually 30 minutes to 1 day |
We do not use session cookies, login cookies, analytics, pixels, fingerprinting or social-media plug-ins, and no preference cookie other than the entry above. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
External content
The map on our contact page comes from Google Maps. Loading it sends your IP address and browser details to Google and lets Google set the cookies listed above. Google may process this data in the United States and elsewhere. For that reason we load the map only after you agree, either with “Allow external content” in the banner or with the “Load the map” button shown in its place. Until then you see a short explanation instead of the map. How Google uses the data is described in Google’s privacy policy.
Spam protection
If Turnstile is switched on, a small Cloudflare check runs when you submit the contact or report form. Cloudflare receives your IP address, the page address and technical signals from your browser, and returns a token that lets us accept the submission. No profile is built, and the check is not used for advertising. Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States; the transfer is described in privacy notice 1.
Your choice
The banner on your first visit offers “Allow external content” and “Reject” with equal prominence. Nothing is pre-ticked, and refusing has no effect on the rest of the site. If you reject, the map stays unloaded and nothing is requested from Google.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to see the banner again and change your choice. The new choice replaces the old one immediately. You can also delete this site’s data in your browser settings, which removes casework-consent. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser stops Google’s cookies, but it may also stop the map from showing.
Questions
Questions about cookies, and about your rights over personal data collected through them, including the right to withdraw consent, are answered in our privacy notices. The notices also explain how to apply to us and to the Personal Data Protection Board.
